A big sigh of relief was let out in the orange county area a night ago as with one-out the Angels sparked a rally, a rally that would win them the game in the bottom of the ninth inning and maybe, just maybe saved the season for another day.
The Angels and the visiting Red Sox play game two of this three game series Wednesday evening in Southern California, first pitch scheduled to be tossed at 7:05 p.m. PDT.
Hey guys and gals……C.J. Wilson has another chance at ending his long winless streak this evening, this whole stretch of games as really be frustrating and really has been painful to watch because C.J. has been one of my favorite players since he played for that evil Texas team.
Some of the games over the course of this eleven-game stretch haven’t been all C.J.’s fault, but some really were all his fault. Let’s hope we can pull through with a victory tonight. Positive Mental Attitude right? Right.
Wilson comes into the night with a record of 9-9 to go along with a 3.83 ERA. Since Wilson’s last win back on June 26 he has posted a record of 0-5 with a 6.09 ERA.
Zack Stewart, who was acquired from the White Sox in the Kevin Youkilis trade, will make his Boston debut tonight after spending the last two months in Triple-A. In 11 starts with the Red Sox Triple-A affiliate, the right-hander went 3-5 with a 3.94 ERA.
Be sure to drink a lot of beer at the game tonight because it is going to be a scorcher.
You can catch the game on Fox Sports West, KLAA 830 for radio.
